Steingraeber

This piano was originally bought from PianoCraft and has been cared for by PianoCraft since day 1.

In 2016, a very serious and accomplished amateur pianist came to PianoCraft and played a Steingraeber D-232 for the first time.  He fell in love.  He felt conflicted because he would need to trade in his nearly new 7 foot piano from a company that starts with 'Stein.'  He was so moved and impressed by the Steingraeber D-232 at PianoCraft that a couple of days later, he decided to buy it.  Unfortunately, another pianist acted quickly after playing it and it was bought out from under him.

We immediately contacted Udo Steingraeber, the 7th generation head of the Steingraeber & Söhne, and told him that we had to have the best D-232 they could send right away.  Udo Steingraeber and the head Steingraeber technician lined up 4 worthy Steingraeber D-232s and quickly agreed on a particular one that was obviously the best for reasons of dynamic range, sustain, color variety, and touch.  Based on this recommendation, we felt confident and safe in having this piano delivered as soon as possible from Germany.

This second D-232 was indeed special; it had still more range and sang even better!  Even then, it still received the same exclusive PianoCraft expert prep (tuning, voicing, regulation, etc.) to prepare for the pianist's visit.  After just spending a few minutes with the piano, he had a big grin on his face.  He couldn’t believe it.  He agreed it was even better than the last one and happily upgraded.

Since then, his circumstances have changed and he's now downsizing and now this amazing piano is available once again.
